Return of water,

return of life

OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA

WILDERNESS IMMERSION

JULY 18-25, 2020

In 2019 the rain that usually floods the Angolan highlands did not arrive

The 6-month journey that this water usually takes to reach the Okavango delta did not happen and it left a draught that has laid waster to harvests, livestock and wildlife. Conservation authorities have resorted to feeding starving hippos while hundreds of elephants have died.

The first water of 2020 is expected to arrive in the Okavango delta in mid-June

A rare opportunity for developing your ability to sense and intuit in an ecosystem in radical transition.

DAY 1

We meet at Maun International Airport, Botswana, and fly by helicopter (18 min) to our first camp; a five-star tented lodge in southeastern Okavango Delta.

We gather in the early evening for an introduction to the immersion, removal of personal items such as watches, phones and cameras, and a welcoming dinner to get to know the group.

DAY 2-6

Just before sunrise we pack and board a motorboat to head far north into the heart of the wilderness area. Our two-hour boat ride will take us to a mokoro station on the border of the Moremi Game Reserve.

We board these small traditional canoes and head into the Moremi Game Reserve looking for a camp for the night.

For the next five days, we will see no-one, sleep under the stars, take care of each other day and night, and follow the movement of wildlife. We are completely immersed in the ecosystem. Daytime walks will follow the paths of animals while we practice heightening our senses and learn about the relationships between all life.

DAY 7

After breakfast and packing up camp, leaving no trace behind us, we leave Moremi by mokoro. Transferring to motorboat, we continue our return south to the lodge where we enjoy an evening feast.

DAY 8

After breakfast, we close our time together as a group. Then we return by helicopter to Maun International Airport.

This immersion host only eight people
