Wilderness Trails
Step into a world where time slows down, where your senses sharpen, and where the wild heart of Africa begins to beat in rhythm with your own. Our Wilderness Trails invite you to walk softly on ancient rhino paths, follow the curve of riverbeds where elephants come to drink, and feel the pulse of untamed land that is also home to buffalo, lion, and countless other creatures.
These extinguished journeys of simplicity and depth — stripped of distraction, yet rich in discovery. Imagine the crunch of dry grass underfoot, the distant call of a fish eagle echoing across the valley, the thrill of knowing you are part of the same landscape as the great herds and apex predators. Each step is an immersion, each night a communion with the stars.
iMfolozi, South Africa
In iMfolozi, South Africa’s oldest wilderness area, you’ll journey for 3, 4, or 5 nights — sometimes sleeping beneath canvas, sometimes under a blanket of stars. The land here is raw and powerful, steeped in the stories of rhino conservation and ancient human presence.
Okavango Delta, Botswana
In the Okavango Delta, your trail stretches over 6 nights — the first and last in a simple base camp, with the central four spent beneath mosquito nets, listening to the chorus of frogs and the soft splash of hippo in the waterways. It is a place where water and sky meet in shimmering light, and where each dawn brings new encounters with life on the floodplains.
A Wilderness Trail is not a safari you observe from a distance — it is an immersion, an invitation to belong. To walk here is to rediscover yourself in the rhythm of nature, in silence, in story, and in the shared circle of fellow travellers.
Ponto Malangane, Mozambique
In Ponto Malangane, Mozambique, our Ocean Wildness happens in conjunction with a dolphin research team and, if the resident pods allows, we slip into the ocean to swim alongside them. We snorkel over shallow coral reefs alive with colour, and in whale season we have the privilege of observing the migrating humpback whales — moments of wild beauty that stay with you forever.
